Remedies
Make sure that you filled the printer ink cartridge with the correct number of
CC's The injection process must be done very slowly. Due to the chemical makeup
of Epson inks, if the ink is injected too quickly it will foam up. The foaming
of the ink can be troublesome, if the ink foams up, it will cause the cartridge
to appear full of ink when actually it is full of mostly air. If this has
happened the easiest solution is to remove the ink already injected by using
your syringe to draw the ink back out of the epson ink cartridge and re-inject
the proper amount of ink into the cartridge again - this time slowly.
Did you refill your epson cartridge before it was completely empty or dry? If
your Epson cartridge has been out of the printer for a few hours or more or
dried out, it is not going to work after refilling. The most important thing to
remember when refilling any cartridge is to do the refill procedure before the
cartridge is empty. When fading starts to occur in your prints, take our your
cartridge and "top off" the ink. This is especially critical when working with
Epson cartridges. If the ink runs out and you continue to print, air will be
pulled into the empty chamber. This can result in air pockets forming in your
cartridge and between the cartridge and the print head.
If your Epson cartridge is not printing properly or at all after it has been
refilled according to the instructions in your refill kit, there may be air
pockets in the sponge. When there are air pockets in your cartridge's sponge the
ink may come out a little at a time or not at all. You can remedy this problem
by running the Epson cleaning cycle to prime the cartridge (refer to your
printer manual.) You may have to run through this cycle 4-5 times or more in
order to have the cartridge release the ink. You may also use our test print
page to prime your cartridges. By printing the test print page numerous times,
the ink will be forced through the sponges, out the ink exit hole, and onto the
page that it is printing.
